- This program is intended for people of any age group but the most common demographics seen in office include seniors and 20-40 years of age. As our bodies age our metabolism slows down and there are fluctuations in circulating hormone levels. For many these physiological changes lead to a decline in not only physical activity but also in caloric (and therefore nutrient) intake. This is problematic for many as they become more susceptible to nutrient deficiency which in many cases predisposes them for osteoporosis, arthritis, bone and soft tissue injury. Similarly, there is a decline in muscle mass, however, this is easily overcome through resistance and weight-bearing exercise. The Pain Management and Joint Health program will address these specific areas and more depending on the patient’s individual requirements and activity level.
