It’s important to recognize that we (optimally) spend about 1/3 of the hours in a day in bed. 7-9 hours is optimal for most people. Therefore, sleep must be an extremely important part of life that many people aren’t making time for. Humans have a diurnal rhythm that controls our sleep-wake cycles; in short, we are creatures of habit. For a great night’s sleep it is important to have good sleep hygiene.
