What is a visit with a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) like? PDF Print E-mail

NDs are primary care providers (like MDs) who can diagnose and treat illness. NDs are trained to identify underlying causes of disease and using the principles of naturopathic medicine (link) to treat appropriately. Typically your first visit is between 60-90 minutes, which will include a detailed patient history, a focused physical exam, and may include the start of a treatment plan. During the first consultation patients are encouraged to have a BioImpedance Analysis (BIA) performed to provide additional insight into their current state of health. Subsequent visits are typically 30 minutes, but can be either shorter or longer depending on the concerns being addressed.
